Knowing what you want

It took me a really long time to figure out what I wanted in life. Knowing this takes a lot of experiementing and also a lot of messing up. Seriously, if you botch something up bad enough you tend to figure out what works and what doesn’t.

This is what I want.

to live in Arizona near Tempe

to buy a condo under 30k in that area.. totally possible thanks to foreclosures

to work out of my home in a creative field or get a teaching position if possible

to spend more time doing real things in life than spending time online.

Longtime no Blog

Whew, what a month August has been. Sorry I have not been blogging much lately. This month has been crazy, with new designs, new products, hopefully a new subbing position, and all kinds of mess.

I have also discovered this month the goodness of Pinterest.

Follow me as I am clearly addicted already.

Picture Day

Friday is going to be a big fun day around Tiger Lily Leather. It’s photo-shoot day with my bf. Creating a collection is a lot harder than I had anticipated. Especially with new collections on the rise for fall. There is so much research and practice involved. Anyone who has started a business successfully makes it look a lot easier than it actually is. However, I never thought I would be having so much fun!

Tutorial: How to make an Iced Caramel Macchiato

I love Caramel Macchiatos. I mean, looovvve them. However, these sweet little milky treats tend to get pricey, especially if you have been craving at least once a day. That’s almost 35-40 dollars a week. That’s too much for just a drink. So with a little kitchen ingenuity I bring you “How to make a Caramel Macchiato.”

Step 1

Gather your ingredients
-Caramel Syrup (I use Hershey’s)
-Brewed Espresso (I use the cheaper stuff in a big can. It runs about 5 dollars.

-You will also need a glass and a straw (The straw is necessary if you like the layer of flavors)

Step 2

-Fill the bottom of the glass with a bit of caramel. It’s really up to you how much you like. I put enough to cover up the bottom and a little more. Then turn the glass on its side and rotate the glass. You want that caramel to get on the sides of the glass.

Step 3

-Fill with your preferred amount of ice

Step 4

-Hold the glass tilted slightly to the side. You are going to pour in milk half way up the cup (or more if you prefer). Holding the glass slightly towards you prevents the ingredients from mixing and promotes layering.

Step 5

-Holding your glass tilted pour in the espresso. (I choose to make the glass 1/3-1/4 espresso.) Remember that tilting will keep the espresso from immediately mixing with the milk.

Step 6

Drizzle with more caramel. Insert straw and Enjoy!

Girl friends

I live cities, counties, and states away from any girls I have a lot in common with. Sometimes I just want a girls days out. For now, I dream of shopping and sipping cafe lattes with floral prints.

Don’t you love this photo? It’s completely over the top.

Fresh items in the shop!

I finally posted some of my larger pieces in the shop. Everything is made to order. Expect a 1-2 week turnover for them.

Hopefully I can get better photos soon when Austin isn’t too busy.
